Haines last officiated the Vale in 3-1 defeat against Swindon Town at Vale Park in January 2022.In the 34 games he officiated in the 2021/22 season, he issued 93 yellow cards and one red card, and has given 12 bookings and two red cards so far this season.
His assistants will be Christopher Ward and Wayne Grunnill, with Ed Duckworth taking on the role of fourth official.
