We look at each team Vale will face in League One
League One Preview:
The fixtures are less than a week away, so we have decided to take a look at all the sides Vale will be facing in League One next season. We start with relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers.
To find out when we will be playing Wolves be sure to check the official website on June 19 at 9am.
Team: Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolves will be moving into the new season with their third manager since January, which in itself paints its own picture. Stale Solbakken was sacked in January, Dean Saunders couldn’t turn Wolves’ fortunes around and now Kenny Jacket has been left to pick up the pieces and guide next season’s promotion favourites back to the Championship.
Players:
Scotland international Christophe Berra has left the club along with goal-threat Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Stephen Hunt and Jody Craddock. More are expected to follow as Wolves look to bounce back to the second-tier of English football.
With Ebanks-Blake leaving expect Bakary Sako to take up the scoring reins, the Frenchman scored nine goals last season before a torn hamstring in March ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.
Expect lots of ins and outs at Wolves, this could decide whether they are title contenders or not.
Manager: Kenny Jackett
Kenny Jackett spent seven seasons at Millwall before moving to Molineux, Jackett guided Millwall back to the Championship through the Play-Offs in 2010 and he will be hoping to do the same with Wolves next season.
Key Man: Kevin Doyle
If they can keep hold of the Republic of Ireland international they will be guaranteed goals and a touch of class, but the question remains will he stay?
Promotion Odds: 5/4
