Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the boss insisted that if his players continue to perform at a high level then they will be more than a match for the Gills.
“It’s a home game for us so we’re looking to be nice and positive like we were on Tuesday against fantastic opposition,” he said.
“We’re in for a tough test on Saturday, Gillingham have comfortably won against Sheffield United in the opening game and then had a good game against Plymouth in the cup.
“So they’ve had two wins, they’ll be full of confidence coming here as well so we’re in for a tough encounter.
“But one that we know if we can replicate the level of performance we did on Tuesday we stand a good chance of winning the game”
