Staffordshire University will be attending Port Vale’s clash with Crewe Alexandra this weekend to promote the benefits of higher education.

The Valiants take on the Alex on Saturday, kick off 3pm, in Sky Bet League One.

To give supporters opportunities to find out about the range of courses available this year, information will be available at a table situated by the Roy Sproson statue.

Specially commissioned Beanie hats will be given to the first 50 fans who enquire about courses.

The Club is keen to encourage supporters to consider finding out about the value of higher education following the examples of

Ben Purkiss and Adam Yates who have graduated and Chris Birchall who is studying at present.

In recent years over 90 current and ex-players have either enquired about or graduated from the Sports Journalism course at Staffordshire University.
