Port Vale Football Club can confirm that Ellis Harrison has joined Sky Bet League Two side MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old joined the Valiants in August last year and featured 35 times for the club finding the back of the net on 11 occasions during the 2022/23 season.
This season the forward has been restricted to just one appearance in the first game of the season before picking up an injury during the warm-up of our League One match against Reading.
The club would like to thank Ellis for the time he has spent at Vale Park and wish him and his family all the best for the future.
Director of Football David Flitcroft said:
“After getting promoted and the new challenge of League One football, it was important we recruited an experienced goal scorer. Ellis was brought in to lead our front line and his goals helped the club retain our League One status.
“The training environment and playing style have both evolved and Ellis has found himself with less game time.
“MK Dons have been chasing Ellis for a while and finally matched our valuation of the player, which aligns with the club's trading model.
“As a club, we would like to thank Ellis for the past year and wish him all the best for his future. He and his family are always welcome at Vale Park”
