Port Vale donates attendance award
Port Vale promotes good attendance at the Stadium and at local schools!Today Port Vale welcomed school children from Carmountside Primary School into Vale Park for a literacy-based day out.
The children, who are currently in Year three, talked about future employment, took a tour around the Stadium and completed numerous literacy task, including verbal and written communication.
The children has also been looking at a number of Port Vale historical memorabilia, where they will discuss the items historical background.
Chris Taylor, Head of Education, Port Vale FC Academy said: “This is one of a number of current initiatives from the Club, which aims to help young people in the city to improve their literacy standards."
Port Vale want everyone to feel welcome at Vale Park and today was a great opportunity to showcase the resources the ground has available to families and children.
Carmountside was also today awarded with The Port Vale Improved Attendance Trophy, which will be handed to pupils at the end of each term to celebrate their improved or continuously good attendance at School. Alongside the trophy there will be a number of medals that will be given to the pupils for them to keep after receiving the award.
