Vale Skipper Praises Youngsters

Port Vale captain Carl Dickinson has been impressed with the club’s young defensive recruits Remie Streete and Reiss Greenidge so far.

The duo were signed on loan from Premier League sides Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion respectively but neither has featured for the Valiants’ first team yet.

Streete was on the bench for Vale’s 4-1 win over Yeovil Town on Saturday but did not make his debut for the club as a substitute.

Speaking to Valiant Player, Dickinson admitted the pair have made an impression in training with their physicality.

“They have looked really good,” he said.

“Reiss is an absolute giant but he looks a good player, a good prospect as well. He is strong, he’s quick and he’s got a nice left foot on him.”

“Remie, he looks a really tough centre half. Coming from a Premier League club as well he’s got a lot of talent about him.”
