Assistant manager Paul Bodin insists it is key that Port Vale impose their style of play on Gillingham this weekend.
The Valiants will take on Justin Edinburgh’s side on Saturday, kick off 3pm, in Sky Bet League One action. Click here for ticket details.
The Gills suffered a disappointing loss to Walsall in midweek but Bodin is expecting a tough test in Kent nonetheless.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, he said: “They’re saying that they’re going for automatic promotion so they’re still looking for second spot.
“They’ve had a couple of blips of late but they are a very, very good team as we saw here earlier in the season.
“They’ve got Dack back who has been out injured for quite a while and he’s an important player for them so it’s important that we impose ourselves on them.
“We know it’s a tough game but it’s still a time when players are trying to impose themselves and look for contracts for next season.”
