But Micky feels we can hurt them too
Micky Adams is expecting another difficult game on Saturday when in-form Coventry City visit Vale Park, but he believes Vale have the players to cause their own problems at the other end
He said: “We have to concentrate and we have to defend better than we have done at certain times, and when I say that, for long periods of the game against Leyton Orient we defended superbly.
“But there is just this lapse of concentration that cost us goals and we have got to be concentrating for ninety, or ninety five minutes, however long it takes, because Coventry have got a front four that are as good as an in the league.
“They have scored goals, they are a handful and Leon Clarke and the boy Callum Wilson are a good combination.
“Baker on the right tucks in slightly more than the lad on the left wing but as a front four they are a handful.
“If they don’t get crosses into the box then their full backs come and create spaces to get crosses in. They are a very attack-minded side and what they have done recently, they haven’t sacrificed their defending much.
“They have defended reasonably well – I saw them against Gillingham and they defended reasonably well, and against Colchester as well, so we have certainly got our hands full.
“If we give them time and space to play, they are a confidence team and they have got a good mixture of youth and experience where, given time, they will enjoy the occasion.
“They will have big support here, they will enjoy the big pitch and if we sit off them we are going to ask for trouble.
“Even with the ten-point deduction, if they keep everybody together and everybody fit they are going to be up there at the end of the season, even with that ten-point deduction, so that tells you the type of class they have got.
“On saying that, I think that any front four combination that I can pick will cause teams problems as well, so we have got to get better defensively, but I still fancy us to score.”
