  • Williamson has scored in the last two home games.
  • Striker hoping Vale can get back to winning ways after last weekend.

Ben Williamson wants to continue his current hot-streak in front of goal at Vale Park this weekend as Port Vale take on Peterborough United.

The 26-year-old striker has netted twice in the Valiants’ last two home games, against Sheffield United on Boxing Day and Gillingham respectively.

Rob Page’s side welcome the Posh to Vale Park in Sky Bet League One on Saturday, kick-off 3pm, looking to put last weekend’s loss to Chesterfield behind them.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player ahead of the clash with Darren Ferguson’s men, Williamson admitted he is determined to help Vale to victory by hitting the back of the net.

“Obviously you want to score in any game really but I’ve been scoring at home and hopefully that can continue this weekend,” he said.

“Hopefully I can get on the score sheet and we can get the three points.”
