Port Vale’s Sky Bet League two fixture versus Salford City at Vale Park on Sunday, December 26, has been postponed.

The club has informed the EFL and Salford City that it would be unable to fulfil the fixture because of having an insufficient number of players fit or available due to a combination of positive Covid cases and injuries within the squad.

Tickets already purchased will be valid for the rearranged date but should any supporters find themselves unable to attend on the rearranged date then please email: ticketoffice@port-vale.co.uk

The club has worked exceptionally hard this week try to ensure the fixture was fulfilled and and we apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience caused to supporters by the postponement but the health of club employees, fans and customers remains paramount.

The club will continue to test staff and players, monitor and evaluate the situation in the coming days.
