Megan Gray is an apprentice at Port Vale Foundation undertaking a Level 2 in Sports Coaching.

Megan is also a keen footballer herself and started playing football from an early age. She was a mascot for the CP England at the CPISRA world games in Nottingham in 2015 because her mum was a volunteer helping the team out thoughout the tournament. Megan said “Being a mascot for the CP England team inspired me to be in an England team myself one day, and I have just achieved this!” Megan has been selected for the CP Females England Development Squad.

Megan attended a trial at Lilleshall and was successful in being selected for the squad. Over the years Megan has played for a number of clubs including Stoke City, Derby County and Burton Albion. She still represents Burtin in the CP National League. Megan is a valued member of the team, currently studying coaching. She supports on a number of Port Vale Foundation programmes and enjoys coaching in schools, supporting our older people’s programme and being in and around the Foundation day to day.

She hopes to continue her playing career and progress to a career doing something involving sport and activity, which is where her passion really lies. Everyone at Port Vale FC is extremely proud of Megan.
