Port Vale midfielder Rhys Walters has joined Northern Premier League Division One West side Leek Town on a work experience loan agreement until the end of the season.
The 17-year-old has joined the Blues to gain further senior football experience, having made his first team debut for the Valiants against Wolves U21s in the Papa Johns Trophy in October.
Walters was part of the Vale Under 18s side that reached the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup for the first time in ten years this season and joins fellow under 18s Tommy McDermott (Salisbury FC), James Plant (Salisbury FC), Festus Chale (Stafford Town), Durrell Manhertz (Abbey Hulton United), Logan Stinton (Stone Old Alleynians) in moving out on loan to gain further experience.
Walters will be available to feature in Port Vale fixtures in the Staffordshire Senior Cup for the duration of his loan at Harrison Park.
