Port Vale FC are delighted to announce that Funso Ojo has signed a new contract with the club which will run until the summer of 2026.
Following an impressive debut season with the Valiants, Ojo, 31, was named as the club’s new official vice-captain by manager, Andy Crosby, and has been ever-present for the Vale so far throughout this campaign.
His quality on the pitch also transcends off it, with the midfielder named our PFA Community Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season following his inspiring approach to going green and finding ways to be kinder to the planet through PVFC Foundation’s relationship with nationwide campaign ‘Planet League’.
Speaking of Funso's new deal, Vale Manager Andy Crosby said:
“We’re delighted that Funso has put pen to paper on his contract that sees him stay with us until at least June 2026.
“His talent, work rate and importance to this team cannot be understated, he is an extremely valuable member of the squad that has all of the key components of what we’re building here, on and off the pitch.
“For the younger players he is a fantastic example of how to conduct yourself and how to set standards for your own personal and professional growth and for the rest of the squad he continually ensures those standards that we expect on a daily basis are upheld.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Funso and this extension is extremely well deserved”
