Port Vale’s James Plant made his third start for Nantwich Town at the weekend, playing the full 90 minutes as his side were held to a 1-1 draw on the road against Matlock Town.
Plant, who also started in his side’s midweek defeat away at Hyde United, was again on the receiving end of mass praise from the Dabbers, with his creative playing style and energetic performance catching the visiting supporters’ eyes.
Academy goalkeeper Reuben Perry also started for his side at the weekend, as Alsager Town fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Cammell Laird 1907.
Perry was recently joined at the Bullets by fellow Vale academy loanees, Jordan Green and Logan Stintin, who have gone on work experience loans to Alsager, with the pair both making their first appearances for the club off the bench.
Goalkeeper Lucas Covolan was also in action at the weekend, starting for Chesterfield as they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Maidenhead United.
Lucas could again be in action this evening, as The Spireites welcome Dagenham & Redbridge in the National League.
