On the Road | Wembley Stadium

Before our trip to Wemley, here is everything you need to know about the stadium itself

Wembley Stadium, in London, was opened in 2007 having been built on the site of the original Wembley Stadium. It hosts the England national football team as well as the Emirates FA Cup Final, Carabao Cup Final, Papa John's Trophy Final and the EFL Play-Off Finals to name a few.

The stadium has a capacity of 90,000 which makes it the largest stadium in the UK and the second largest in Europe. The record attendance was the 2008 FA Cup Final between Cardiff City and Portsmouth where the number of fans in the stadium was 89,874.

The first competitive game played at the New Wembley was between Kidderminster Harriers and Stevenage in the FA Trophy Final in 2007. The Valiants will be housed in the west side of Wembley between blocks H and P.

Travelling by car

The stadium has been labelled as a ‘public transport’ destination, meaning that there is limited parking available at the stadium itself and there is also a residents-only parking scheme in operation in the local area. The pricing and availability of stadium parking varies per event.

From the M1

At the roundabout at the end of the M1, turn right onto the A406 (North Circular/West Wembley). Continue along the A406 for a couple of miles and then after crossing a metal suspended bridge, you will pass a McDonalds on your left. At the traffic lights with an Ikea Store on one corner bear left onto Drury Way. Keeping the Ikea store on your right go straight across the next two roundabouts. You will pass a Tesco petrol station on your right and then at the traffic lights turn left into Grand Central Avenue (B4557). The stadium is at the end of this road.

We would recommend parking at one of the tube stations at the end of the Metropolitan line such as Uxbridge, Hillingdon or Ruislip or at Stanmore on the Jubilee line and then take the tube to Wembley Park.

Wembley Stadium Station (Chiltern Railways)
Wembley Central Station (London Underground Bakerloo line, London Overground, London Midland and Southern lines

Step-free access and low-level ticket machines are available at all three stations. However, Wembley Central Station is step-free from street to platform, but not from platform to train.

Overseas deliveries will incur an additional post and packaging charge, which will be calculated based on the delivery address provided.

This treasured memorabilia will be posted first class on Friday 27th May, but is not expected for a pre-match delivery and should arrive no later than three working days after the fixture.

Otherwise there will be programmes on sale around Wembley Stadium on the day.

Worried about accessibility?
Every set of turnstiles has an accessible entrance, with trained stewards on hand.

Assistance dogs
We welcome assistance dogs. There are two dog-relieving stations (next to turnstiles B and M) on the east and west external public concourses – just in case.

To keep you up to date throughout your visit, our auditory enhancement system offers event commentary, information and emergency announcements. For sensory- impaired visitors, we offer a specific commentator. Simply pick up a headset at any information booth.
