Ryan Edmondson joins the Valiants on loan

Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm Leeds United Striker Ryan Edmondson has joined the Valiants until the end of the season.

Edmondson spent the first half of the 2021/22 Season on loan at League One outfit Fleetwood Town, where he scored twice in 17 appearances.
 
The 20-year-old started his career in the York City academy, where he made a first team appearance at the age of 16 and became their third youngest player in the club's history.
 
In November 2017, Ryan was signed as a scholar by then Championship side, Leeds United and made his first team debut in May 2018 after impressing in their youth team.
 
Edmondson signed a new three-year contract with The Whites in 2018 and featured in the Under-23, side scoring 18 times during the 2018/19 season and was part of the team who won the Professional Development League. 
 
September 2019 saw Ryan make his England Under-19 debut against Greece at St George's Park, he scored a goal in a 3-1 win.
 
Ryan spent some time in Scotland on loan with Aberdeen during the first part of the 2020/21 season and then moved to Northampton Town in January.
