We make the short journey to the Banks’s Stadium for our Sky Bet League Two match against Walsall on Saturday, and below is some useful information before the journey.
Their Home
After 94 years at Fellows Park stadium, Walsall made the move to the Bescot Stadium, known as the Banks’s Stadium since 2007 due to sponsorship, in 1990 with Sir Stanley Matthews opening the ground. Originally both ends of the stadium were standing areas, but by the 2002/03 season it had been converted to an all-seater stadium. On June 13th 2015 Elton John played a concert at the ground to 14,000 people.
The capacity of the stadium is 11,300. Vale fans will be housed behind the goal in the University of Wolverhampton Stand, which is complete with a bar and TV’s. There are 10 pitch-level wheelchair bays in the Community Stand for away supporters.

Travelling by Car
From M6 North: leave the M6 at junction 9 and take the A461 towards Walsall, turn right onto the A4148 (Wallowes Lane) and right again at the second set of traffic lights. The ground will appear on your left.
From M6 South: leave the M6 at junction 7 and take the A34 towards Walsall. At the end of the dual carriageway, turn left at the Bell Inn pub into Walstead Road and continue straight on this road for two miles. The stadium will appear on your right.
Match Day Car Parking
Car parking is available at the stadium at a cost of £5 per car, £6 per minibus and £12 per coach, including disabled supporters.
The Green Zone car park is locked two hours after the final whistle.
Parking is also available at the nearby Bescot Stadium Railway Station.
There are free parking facilities for cyclists outside the main stand.
Travelling by Rail
Bescot Stadium Railway Station is located at just a two-minute walk from the ground.
If you're travelling by Rail from Stoke-on-Trent to Bescot Stadium, you will be expected to make a minimum of one change.
