A number of tickets were sold on the Exeter City website for the forthcoming game on May 7 which was due to an error with their ticketing system.
On the distribution of match tickets Port Vale has a commitment to prioritising our Season Ticket holders. In this instance, and in the interests of consistency and fairness, both clubs have agreed that all tickets sold in error will be refunded in full.
However, Port Vale FC has been provided with a list of purchasers which have been cross-checked against our database and those Season Ticket holders who had bought tickets via the Exeter City website will be contacted via email.
When tickets for the fixture go on sale those season ticket holders will have their original purchase honoured and will be given the opportunity to buy those tickets again.
When Port Vale FC receives tickets from Exeter City, and as soon as practicably possible, they will be available from the ticket office with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice via our website and social media channels.
Season Ticket holders will then have seven days from the day tickets go on sale to purchase tickets for the Exeter City match, on a one-per-person basis. Any remaining tickets after this date will be put on general sale.
Non-Season Ticket holders who purchased a ticket via the Exeter City website will be contacted via email and offered the opportunity to purchase their ticket from the general sale allocation, subject to availability.
Port Vale and Exeter City are also exploring the possibility of an additional allocation of away supporter tickets over and above the original allocation – subject to satisfying all safety requirements.
Port Vale would like to apologise to supporters for the confusion and inconvenience and assure them of our best intentions as we have attempted to resolve this situation.
Thank you, as always, for your support. UTV!
