Sonect Partner with Port Vale Football Club

The club are delighted to announce a new partnership with Sonect.

Sonect has been selected by the UK Access to Cash Pilot Board to support improving free access to cash to the communities within the Burslem & Tunstall area.

Sonect provide a unique App based solution which allows their customers to get the cash they want, exactly when they want it, at local shops.

The Sonect service gives customers the freedom to order their cash using our App on their mobile phone, even before leaving home if they wish, knowing they are guaranteed that the money will be ready to collect when they pop in to the local Sonect partner shop of their choice.

So the Sonect App provides the UK’s first “Click and Collect” cash service, giving customers total convenience and peace of mind about getting their cash.

As part of the launch in Burslem and Tunstall in April 2021, Sonect have agreed a sponsorship arrangement with Port Vale FC.

Ron Delnevo, the Sonect UK Director commented “I am delighted to have agreed this arrangement with Port Vale – and that the clubs’ supporters will benefit as a result. Sonect want to make a difference to the local communities in Burslem and Tunstall: this is one important way of achieving that objective.”

Ritchie Bates, Port Vale’s Head of Commercial said: “It has been great to be involved within an enterprising and forward-thinking solution to support the local community. I would like to thank Sonect for the sponsorship arrangement and look forward to promoting the scheme across our channels”.

Sonect also have a sponsorship deal with Fegg Hayes Futures, who run the Hub@ST6. They are looking forward to being able to support the local community. To celebrate this sponsorship they held a launch party at one of their Retail Partners, One Stop. In attendance were Tana Owen from Port Vale FC/Port Vale FC Foundation, Helen Snashall from Fegg Hayes Futures, Jonathon Gullis, Stoke North MP, and Lamont Howiex from BBC Radio Stoke.

Helen Snashall, Community Development Manager of Fegg Hayes Futures was both surprised and thrilled to hear from Sonect “This is the first such sponsorship arrangement that we have agreed. It is good to see a company wanting to do something extra for the local community. The money will help us with a number of projects, including safely restarting our parent and toddler group and putting on activities for families during the school holidays."

The presentation of an initial cheque for £500 was made by North Stoke MP Jonathan Gullis, who has been an enthusiastic promoter of improving access to cash in his constituency.

Jonathan Gullis commented "For the past year I have been working hard alongside stakeholders in the community to push for better free access to cash, as part of the UK Finance Community Access to Cash Pilots Initiative. I was delighted to work with Sonect and support their work in the constituency. The work they have done for organizations such as Fegg Hayes Futures Is fantastic, and I am delighted this amazing group of people, which provide key support in the community, are being sponsored."
