Super Vale Abroad Provides Further Support To Community Initiative

SUPER VALE ABROAD (SVA) COMPRISES 135 EXILE VALE SUPPORTERS IN 27 COUNTRIES AND GENERATES FUNDS, THROUGH MEMBERS’ DONATIONS AND EVENTS AT VALE PARK. THESE FUNDS ARE NORMALLY USED TO SPONSOR LOCAL KIDS ATTEND HOME GAMES THROUGH EITHER A MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE OR MASCOT PACKAGE CO-ORDINATED AND DELIVERED BY THE PORT VALE FOUNDATION.

However, with games suspended and no clear indication when they will resume SVA has re-allocated funds to enable the Foundation to provide Activity Packs for local children as part of the Club’s Community Support Initiative.

The Port Vale Foundation alongside Port Vale Football Club, Synectics Solutions and The Hubb Foundation have delivered over 26,000 meals and almost 1,000 Activity Packs into the local community since the beginning of April. Whilst the Coronavirus pandemic continues and schools remain closed there is little sign that the demand for this support will diminish.

Patrick Scragg who lives in the Central Coast, NSW Australia and is the founder of SVA said “We are determined to continue our support for the Foundation and the wonderful work that they are doing in the community in these very difficult times. SVA members have already made significant contributions and we are now inviting all Vale supporters to join us in making donations towards this very worthy cause. All those donating will be entered into a draw to win a Vale home shirt signed by the first team and 100% of the money that we receive will be passed onto the Foundation to provide Activity Packs for local kids.”

Head of Community at Port Vale, Tom Sherratt added “It’s great that SVA can continue to provide funds to help us put a smile on the faces of local kids during the lockdown. The response that the Activity Packs generates is quite amazing and they are not only highly valued by the kids but are a great introduction to the Vale, hopefully a first step towards making them supporters of the future.”

Donations for Activity Packs can be made through the SVA PayPal account at www.supervaleabroad.com/donate

Everyone donating up until the end of June will automatically qualify for the draw for the signed first team shirt and the winner will be announced through the Port Club & Foundation websites.
