Port Vale Football Club are delighted to announce that winger David Amoo has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.
Coming through the ranks at the Liverpool academy, Amoo spent time away on loan at MK Dons, Hull City and Bury in the early stages of his professional career, before joining Preston North End in July 2012, in his first permanent transfer.
He has also had permanent spells at Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United, Partick Thistle and Cambridge United throughout his career before he made the move to Vale Park in July 2019.
The 29-year-old impressed the Valiants faithful last season, and a number of impressive performances have led to him making the right-wing his own.
Amoo has made 337 senior appearances across his senior career, scoring 43 goals.
In his time at Vale he has made 32 appearances and has 4 goals to his name.
“David has become a key member of John Askey’s squad and a favourite with the fans, with a great sound you get from the supporters when David scores a goal,” said Chief Executive Colin Garlick.
“He has scored some very important goals in his first season with us and has also had some key assists as well as playing an important role in the success of the club off the field.”
“We are all delighted that David will be with us for two more seasons.”
Amoo’s new deal keeps him tied to Port Vale until June 2022.
