Midfielder Cristian Montano says that despite the recent form, the players have to keep going and keep fighting.
The Valiants have failed to pick up a win in 2018 so far, with their last win coming against Luton in a 4-0 victory at Vale Park, but Cristian remains upbeat.
"We've had a bad month in terms of results, hopefully we can build on from the weekends result where we got a draw."
"We have got to keep fighting and we can hopefully build from that result. A point is good from the way we went behind twice, we showed a bit of character to get back and get the point there."
Cristian featured in the weekends 2-2 draw to Colchester and picked up a fantastic assist to set up David Worrall to level the game early in the first half.
The midfielder has praised the fans for their support, but has reassured them the players have what it takes to stay up.
"We've got a good bunch of players around the club. As players we have to keep plugging away, stay positive and keep working hard."
"Hopefully we can turn the corner again like we did in December, we have to keeping working and staying positive." he added.
With the visit of Morecambe upcoming this Saturday, Cristian says the game is huge and doesn't mind adapting to a different position, despite saying his favours playing on the wing.
"Morecambe are just below us in the table, every game from now on is huge for us starting with Saturday so hopefully we get the three points."
"At the moment I'll play where ever the gaffer wants me to play, it's a teams game so I'll do whatever is best for the team as well, so if the gaffer wants me to play left back I can play there as well."
