The English Football League have chosen who should be the man in the middle for Port Vale’s League Two tie with Morecambe on Saturday.
Ben Toner will be officiating at Vale Park in what would be his 24th game of the season.
This is the first time he has refereed Vale this season, but has officiated in Morecambe’s 0-0 draw with Grimsby Town in October.
So far this season, Toner has officiated in:
6 League One games
11 League Two games
3 FA Cup games
3 Checkatrade Trophy games
In the games he has been involved in, he has given out 68 yellow cards and four reds.
He will be assisted by Paul Graham and Chris Isherwood, whilst Gary Hilton takes the role as fourth official.
