Wycombe Wanderers kept the pressure on the top three with a 3-1 victory over Cambridge United, with the defeat leaving the U’s in 14th position.
Colchester United moved up to 15th with a win over ninth placed Mansfield Town, whilst Cheltenham Town’s victory at home to Swindon Town left the teams 11th and 12th respectively.
Elsewhere, Crewe Alexandra’s five-game losing run came to an end as they edged past Stevenage.
Lincoln City also beat Chesterfield, Crawley Town picked up a win at Morecambe, Newport County triumphed over Yeovil Town and Grimsby Town narrowly defeated Port Vale.
