We are delighted to announce that defender James Gibbons has signed a new deal at Vale Park, to keep him here until the summer of 2018.
The defender has put pen to paper on the new contract earlier this morning, as he becomes the latest player to commit his future ahead of the 2017/18 season.
James made his debut during the 2016/17 season, coming on as a substitute during Vale’s 4-0 win against Hartlepool United in the Second Round of the FA Cup at Vale Park.
The 19 year-old signed his first contract with the club at the back end of the 2015/16 season, alongside Dan Turner and Harry Pickering.
Gibbons will link up with his team mates towards the end of June, when the players return to pre-season.
