The Valiants followed up Saturday's convincing triumph over Kidsgrove Athletic with an emphatic win away to Newcastle Town on Tuesday night as the pre-season preparations continue.
New recruit Rekeil Pyke bagged a brace after signing on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Town. Danny Green and Anthony De Freitas also found the net twice, whilst Tom Walker and Cristian Montano got themselves on the scoresheet as well.
Vale almost got off to the perfect start when captain for the night, Tom Pope nearly opened the scoring after just five minutes, but his powerful effort was well saved by Town 'keeper Raj Gill.
Vale continued to press forward and look for a breakthrough, but that didn't come until the 34th minute. A long ball from Neal Eardley found Cristian Montano and the winger arrowed an emphatic finish into the top corner via the underside of the crossbar.
The Valiants had just enough time to double the lead just before the break as Tom Walker sent a dipping free-kick over the wall and on the greasy surface the ball skidded beyond the gloves of Gill and Vale were two ahead.
Brown changed the entire line-up for the second period, but it took less than a minute for Vale to make it 3-0 as Anthony De Freitas started and finished a neat move, capitalsing on the rebound from a Rekeil Pyke effort.
With 54 minutes on the clock, Danny Green shaped a strike past the keeper following excellent work from Dan Turner who worked his way into the box superbly.
Just seconds after the restart, Rekeil Pyke picked up the ball from around 25 yards out and smashed a low drive into the corner to make it 5-0.
As Vale continued to press forward in search of goals a sixth found the net via Green. His delivery from a wide free-kick on 72 minutes evaded everyone in the area and it nestled just inside the far post.
Six minutes later, De Freitas registered his second of the evening as he cut inside and took it past one, then two, before firing a pinpoint shot past Gill.
Pyke then wrapped up the scoring two minutes from time as he latched onto a rebound from Turner's initial effort.
Vale's next friendly fixture sees them travel to Buxton Town on Saturday afternoon.
