Welcome To Vale Park - Tyler Walker

Welcome To Vale Park - Tyler Walker

We are delighted to confirm the signing of Nottingham Forest striker, Tyler Walker on loan for the rest of the season.

The highly rated youngster has risen through the ranks at Forest and has made over 20 first team appearances.

Last year, Walker spent time out on loan in League One with Burton Albion, where he scored a vital last minute equaliser against Bury, which turned out to be pivotal in their automatic promotion.

More recently, this year the striker has spent time in League Two with Stevenage, making an instant impact with two goals on his debut and four in his first six games.

However, he was injured in late October and only made his return on New Years Eve as a substitute.

Tyler has also become a familiar face on the international scene, earning seven caps for the England under-20’s, scoring two goals.

The striker is also the son of former Nottingham Forest and England defender Des Walker, who said in an interview 18 months ago, his son is much more talented then he was:

"He is a more talented player than I was. I only had to kick people.

"I was not bad at kicking people and he is a creative player and they are the talented ones. If I start telling him how to score goals he will start laughing."

Walker will now link up with his team mates at Vale and will wear the number 26 for the Valiants.
