Scott Tanser has become Michael Brown’s latest addition to his Port Vale side after joining on loan from fellow League One outfit Rochdale.
Tanser has made a number of appearances for Rochdale this season and has made a total of 38 appearances for the Dale since his debut back in 2012, so has a lot of experience at this level.
Tanser spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD about his move: “It’s unbelievable. I have not had the best of times in my footballing career so far, but I’m really going to relish playing at this great club,” he said.
The left-back admits that the deal is still a shock to him and he did not see it coming: “It was a bit of a shock actually, but I am glad that Port Vale have given me a chance.”
He continued: “One minute I am at Rochdale then the next minute I am signing for Port Vale. It is a bit mad really but that is the way that football is.”
The 22-year old has already experienced Vale Park and the Vale faithful this season with Rochdale and hopes he can make a quick impression: “They were great when I came earlier in the season. I expect a lot of support from them and I will give them everything back. I am looking forward to showing everyone what I can do.”
Tanser is available for tomorrows trip to Scunthorpe United and expects a tough game: “They are a good time and have been very good this season. We just have to give it our all and I am sure we can win.”
