Manager Michael Brown has revealed that central defender Nathan Smith has suffered a Hamstring injury but is happy with the debut performance by Scott Tanser.
Brown said that the Valiants in form defender did injure his hamstring during the game over the weekend and it couldn’t have happened against a worse opponent.
“It’s a hamstring,” said Brown.
“He did it at the end of the first half and in the second half, we started to back, Nathan struggled a little bit.
“That’s what happens unfortunately and we’ve been struck with one of our better defenders off the pitch at the top of the table.”
The manager mentioned that the clubs new signing Tanser, who received his debut over the weekend against Scunthorpe United, is settling in and is hoping to develop his career at the club.
“He’s steady, he’s slotted in nicely,” said the Manager.
“He’s still a young boy, who we want to develop and progress his career, it was a good start from him.”
