Fasan Talks Competition for Number One Jersey

Leonardo Fasan was one of two deadline day transfers made by Vale boss Michael Brown after the departure of Jak Alnwick.

Fasan, a 23-year old goalkeeper has been brought in on loan from Celtic to battle it out for the newly vacant number one jersey.

 

Fasan spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD about the competition at Vale Park: “I have trained with Boot and Pickering and I can see that they are very good goalkeepers.”

 

He continued: “I don’t mind fighting to start the games and obviously I will do my best, and we will see if the manager wants me to play on Saturday.”

 

Since arriving at the club, the Italian says that he has had positive conversations with the boss about his role at Vale Park: “He has been very welcoming and we had a chat when he told me to just do my best and that it was a good opportunity for me to play. I am looking forward to start playing games.”

 

Fasan is in contention to start this Saturday at home to Peterborough and hopes to make his debut nowhere else other than Vale Park: “It would be unbelievable to make my debut in front of the home fans at the home stadium.

 

“I hope that the fans will support me”, he added.

 

Port Vale host Peterborough United this weekend and will be looking to remain unbeaten at home under Michael Brown.
