Michael Brown completed the signing of Deadline Day arrival number two, when Harry Middleton put pen to paper.
The midfielder joined having spent his career to date at Doncaster Rovers and is now looking forward to a new chapter in his career.
Harry has made 80 appearances for Doncaster and enjoyed the highs promotion last season in League Two and he is ready for another promotion fight this season.
He said: “I know how good it feels to get promoted so obviously coming to a team as good as port vale and knowing what the manager wants you definitely set your standards as high as possible.
“I played in League One and League Two, I’ve been up and down the leagues with Doncaster and I’ve had a promotion, relegation, so I’ve experienced the highs and lows with them but its been a good journey, but I’m looking forward to a new chapter now.”
Middleton was part of the Rovers side who gained promotion out of League Two last season, so is looking for back to back successful campaigns with Vale and has spoken about what it takes.
“It takes a good group, a good team spirit and a lot of hard work, I’ve sent the team here at Vale and there is a lot of quality in the side, so as long as everyone works hard and there is a good team spirit then that’s all you need.”
Once the 22 year-old heard of the interest from Port Vale he was delighted to be able to make the move.
“Yeah it’s really good to get the deal to done, I’m really looking forward to getting started.
“The Gaffer spoke to my agent and expressed an interest and then from there when I found out about the interest I was excited to come and meet everyone and get involved.
“I like to think I get on the ball and make things happen, I like to get involved and prefer the football side of the game and try and be creative from a bit deeper if I can.”
