The defender has gone out on loan.

We can confirm that defender James Gibbons has joined Leek Town on loan for one month.

Gibbons signed his first professional contract with the club earlier this year alongside Dan Turner and Harry Pickering.

The defender impressed manager Bruno Ribeiro in the summer, as he was handed starts and minutes in the pre-season friendlies.

Leek currently play their games in the Northern Premier League Division One South and are 13th in the league.

The loan will enable the defender to gain some valuable first team football.
