Port Vale return to Vale Park again this week, following on from the midweek draw with Charlton on Tuesday.
This time round the visitors are newly promoted, Oxford United, who make the trip to Burslem for the first time since 2012.
Valiants defender, Calvin Mac-Intosch returned to the starting eleven against The Addicks, his first League One appearance since the first home match at Vale Park.
Calvin was used as a right-back in the game and he is hoping he has done enough to keep his place ahead of the clash with Oxford.
He said: “It was great to start, I felt the confidence from the coach and I played the game and I did what I normally do I think it went good and I want to play more games.
“I’ve played right back once already and I’ve played there before in my career so I know what needs to be done, if it’s right back or centre back I’ll do it.”
But, attention for Calvin soon switches to this weekend when the U’s travel to Vale Park and Mac-Intosch hopes he can play again in front of the fans.
“I think we have to play the same as the second half against Charlton and I think if we do that I’m very confident we will get three points at home.
“I loved playing in front of the fans, I want to do it again and of course they encourage us a lot and they are fantastic every home game.”
