Bristol Rovers have dropped down the table as they lost to Peterborough over the weekend, Rovers went ahead thanks to a Matt Taylor penalty but goals from Shaquile Coulthirst and Tom Nichols meant the away team were getting three points.
Fleetwood were looking to bounce back from their loss to Millwall last week and they did just that as David Ball and Ashley Hunter put goals past Stuart Nelson to win the game 2-1.
Edging down the table, Walsall earned a point at Bescot Stadium as Erhun Ozyumer’s goal was enough as it cancelled out Andy Rose’s first half opener.
Millwall made it two wins in a row on Saturday as they beat Oxford United at Kassam Stadium. Liam Sercombe put the Yellow’s ahead but Steve Morison 25-yard volley and Aiden O’Brien’s 50thminute strike earned the away side all three points.
Chesterfield were looking for a comeback after their 3-0 loss to the league leaders last week but it wasn’t meant to be as Charlton’s Lee Novak scored an 86thminute goal, winning the game for the Addicks.
The last game of the weekend was between Southend United and Shrewsbury. Shrews centre-back Adam El-Abd put the away side ahead but Stephen McLaughlin’s equaliser stopped Paul Hurst getting his first win as Shrews manager.
