Port Vale dropped two points at home on Tuesday night after a late equaliser for Oldham Athletic.
The travelling Latics earned themselves a draw at the death thanks to Carl Winschester.
Vale manager Bruno Ribeiro spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD after the game about his team’s performance: “I am very sad, we lost two points. We started the game badly; the first half was very bad from us.”
The portuguese-man thinks that if the team could have carried their second half mentality throughout the 90 minutes, they would have won the game: “We spoke at half time and I said we change our attitude and play as a team or we won't win this game.
He continued: “I said if we play as team and do what we work on every day then we can win this game.”
The 41-year old was happy with his teams second half performance, including the appearances made by his substitutions: “In the second half, the lads' attitude was fantastic. The players who came on were perfect for us but with 50 seconds to go we conceded a goal and lost two points.”
Port Vale travel to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday in a bid to collect all three points and keep in touch of the top six.
