Knops Reflects on Oldham

Port Vale were denied the three points at the death last night against travelling strugglers Oldham Athletic.

Remie Streete and Rigino Cicilia gave Vale the lead after falling behind minutes into the second half.

A stoppage time equaliser from Carl Winchester spoiled Vale’s cheers as both teams walked away with a point.

Defender Kjell Knops spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD after the game about the teams performance: “We played too slow in the first half, which made it easy for them to stay in the game. They scored really quickly in the second half, and then after that we begin to push and press.

“We put a lot of crosses into the box, and made it very difficult for them, and managed to equalise and then go infront. But unfortunately they equalised which is disappointing,” he added.

The 29-year old has recently returned to action after an unexpected lay-off but says he is feeling good in himself: “I’m feeling fine. The injury I have just come back from in my foot is okay, sometimes I can feel it after the game, but I’m okay.”
