This past weekend, Port Vale climbed back up the League One table and within touching distance of the play-offs once more.
The win ended a run of four games without a victory and ensured Vale Park continued to remain a fortress.
It was a game full of positives for Vale, as they found the winning touch once more.
One of the positives was the return to the side of top scorer Alex Jones and he added to the tally in his first game back.
It was feared that the striker may have been set for a long spell on the side lines, but he returned quicker then expected and was delighted to give the fans something to smile about.
He said: “I thought we showed great character to come from a goal down to nick the win at the end.
“I think it shows the kind of spirit we have in the group that even when there’s not long left and were a goal down we keep going till then end as you see we dug deep and got the win”
“We’ve had a tough month we don’t feel we’ve played as well as we have in previous weeks and haven’t been able to get going.
“It was really important for us to get a win today at home and give the supporters something to be smile about.”
Vale came from behind to pick up three points thanks to Jones’ striker, late on in the game.
However, it wasn’t the first time Vale had come from behind to pick up points and the win against Fleetwood took their tally to 9 points won from losing positions.
Jones added: “I think we’ve come back on a number of occasions to get a point or three points.
“It shows that as a group whether were 1-0 down or its 0-0 and not long left we know we’ve got the quality to punish teams and get the goals and win some games.”
