Manager Rob Page says Port Vale will show Shrewsbury Town the respect they deserve this weekend but he thinks his side has what it take to get the win.
The Valiants begin a busy Easter weekend against the Shrews at Greenhous Meadow on Good Friday before taking on Barnsley at home on Monday.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD ahead of the trip to Cheshire, the Vale boss praised Micky Mellon for the job he has done with Salop.
“Credit to the manager again, I think his recruitment has been excellent, I think he’s brought in some excellent players,” he said.
“Characters as well, good characters, hard workers, quality in Sullay Kaikai who got two against Bury and I think he’s got four in five or something like that.
“We’ll respect that but on our day we’ve proven in the past against some of the better teams that we’ve got both sides of it as well and when we do that we can get the win.”
