See what the manager had to say after the final whistle last weekend.
This past weekend, Vale made it two wins from two games, when they beat Kidsgrove Athletic 2-1 at the Novus Stadium.
The Valiants had to come from a goal behind to secure the victory and it was two goals from Assistant Manager, Michael Brown who ensured the win.
During the game, manager Bruno Ribeiro fielded two sides again, one in the first half and another in a second, as he continues to experiment with his side.
After the game, Bruno spoke of his confidence he has in his side, but insists there is still improvement that needs to be done before the start of the new season.
He said: “The performance for me is very important, everyone worked hard today, I told the players that these first two pre-season games are just about working hard for 45 minutes.
“At the moment maybe the movement and tactics is not what we want but we’re working every day and now we have some bigger games, where we can see where we need to improve, but for me we need to improve all over, in defence and attack.
“I’m still happy with all players and this family, we’re a very good family together and I’m very confident for the future and the start of the season.”
