The Valiants return to Vale Park this week.
During the upcoming weeks, Port Vale will return to Vale Park, as they entertain the likes of Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and a Manchester United Xl.
These matches will see a different level of opposition for Vale, as they look to continue to prepare for the upcoming season.
Also, the games will give supporters who haven’t been able to travel to the away games, the chance to see the new signings and new manager Bruno Ribeiro.
Ribeiro is hoping that these will games will help his side in their development and believes his new style of play can help improve the club heading into the future.
He said: “The next few games will be good as they are big clubs, in the Championship and I want to see what we’ve been doing in training implemented into these games and in the big games we will see more faults of our team which is normal for this time of the season, but more important we are ready for the 6th of August.
“At this moment we are just learning to work hard and we‘re learning that in some positions it’s not very good and it could do with some work.
“I saw a few games last season and that isn’t my style, because sometimes we score goals in games on counter attack, so we need to be good and organised from the back and work our way up and we prepare this for the start of the season and we will be ready.
“For me scoring goals on the counter attack is no good, some managers have different ideas, but mine will not be focused on the counter attack.”
