The manager talks fitness of Carlos Saleiro, Ben Purkiss and Sam Foley.
Following this past weekend’s victory over Kidsgrove Athletic, Vale are back in action tonight against Nottingham Forest at Vale Park.
It is the second game in four days for Vale and the first at Vale Park since the end of the 2015/16 season, just under three months ago.
With a new man in the hot seat and new signings at the club, it will be a chance for fans to come and see the new faces at the club.
One of the new signings, Jerome Thomas and new Assistant Manager Michael Brown, were spoken about by Bruno Ribeiro after the game.
Bruno said: “Thomas is an experienced player which is good for us, but at the moment he’s only trained twice and played Saturday and he worked hard and I’m very pleased with him, now he just needs to keep working and he’s taken to our family well and I’m very pleased.
“I’m very happy with Michael, he works very hard every day and he played very well against Kidsgrove. He’s 39 years old but for me, 39 or 15 it is the same if he has the quality to play he will play, age is not a problem, I’m still very happy with him and he keeps going and working and he will be very important.”
Also, Bruno took time to speak about those players who didn’t feature against Kidsgrove and gave an update on the fitness of Carlos Saleiro.
“Friday Carlos felt a bit of pain on the leg and before the start of the game, so I said to him he’s better not to play today and the same with Sam Foley and Ben Purkiss and maybe in the next game they’ll be ready.”
