Bruno - Nottingham Forest Reaction

Take a look at the thoughts of the manager after the final whistle.

Last night was the first of four pre-season games to be played at Vale Park this season, as Vale entertained Championship side, Nottingham Forest.

On the night, the Valiants were unable to secure a victory, but however, showed supporters glimpses of improvement from last season in the 2-0 defeat.

Manager Bruno Ribeiro, has always insisted that these friendly fixtures are not about the result and are about improving as a side and finding the faults, to ensure they are gone come the 6th of August.

Following the final whistle, Bruno spoke to Valiant PlayerHD and told his thoughts of his sides performance against Forest.

He said: “I’m happy with the players, it was a difficult game against a Championship club, they’re a good team and it was good for us to see our faults and where we need to improve and I am very happy.

“We made two mistakes and it led to two goals, but we’re still learning and in just under 20 days we will change something, but now the players are just learning.

“I said before that the results aren’t important for me right now, it’s about seeing our quality and then where we need to improve.

“After today we are a little bit better, we improved a bit and we had good movement in the second half, along with some good movement in the first half and we will now keep on training; the players are working hard and I am happy with them.”
