Take a look at what the goalkeeper had to say after the defeat to Swindon.
This weekend saw the clean sheet record come to an end, when Swindon scored in the 1-0 defeat at the County Ground.
The Vale defence had come in for great praise, with Nathan Smith, Remie Streete and Jak Alnwick, all being named in teams of the day/week since the start of the season.
Despite finally conceding, Vale were the last team out of the 72 EFL clubs to concede in the 2016/17 League campaign.
After the final whistle at the County Ground, we spoke to Jak Alnwick, who despite being disappointed with conceding was full of praise for his team mates.
He said: “We’ve been excellent and we’ve been defending from the front, from the strikers all the way through to the back four.
“We put our bodies on the line and get the blocks in and the lads have been excellent and it’s a big part of what we want to.
“The gaffer has installed it in us that we have to be disciplined we need to defend and we can go from there.
“But it’s been a good start with the three clean sheets and we’re disappointed to not get another one against Swindon.”
