Port Vale striker Ajay Leitch-Smith was delighted to make his first competitive start of the season in the win at Fleetwood Town.
The 25-year-old was selected by manager Rob Page to partner Uche Ikpeazu and then Colin Daniel in the second half.
Bobby Grant gave the Cod Army a first half lead but Daniel and Sam Foley completed Vale’s comeback in the second 45 minutes.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD, Leitch-Smith admitted he was pleased to be part of the win right from kick-off.
“I’m just glad to get the first start under my belt now,” he said. “There are hopefully a few goals to come.
“I was tiring towards the end because I’ve not played many 90 minutes but I’m just glad to get my first start.”
