Vale Reserves take on Stoke City tonight

Tonight's fixture kicks off at 7.00pm

It’s the big derby game here at Vale Park this evening when Vale Reserves take on their Stoke City counterparts in the Final Third Development League Cup.

Vale boss Rob Page has said Michael O’Connor will finally be lacing up his boots on and will be in the Vale line-up to face the Potters.

It will be the first opportunity for supporters to see last season’s player of the year since the influential midfielder picked up a bad injury just eight minutes in to the pre-season friendly against Bolton Wanderers.

He is finally back in full time training after recovering much quicker than originally anticipated and although he is unlikely to play the full ninety minutes tonight, it will be great to see him out there on the pitch once again.

Vale season ticket holders are reminded to bring along their season ticket card in order to gain free admission to the match, which kicks off at 7.00pm.

All supporters intending to come to the game are reminded that only the only area of the ground that will be open will be the Lorne Street Stand.
