Vale ‘keeper Chris Neal plays in his first game this afternoon as Vale Reserves take on Burton Albion
Goalkeeper Chris Neal makes his long awaited comeback this afternoon here at Vale Park – kick off 2.00pm - when Vale’s second string take on their Burton Albion counterparts in the Final Third Development League.
Neal has been out of action with an ankle injury since falling awkwardly in a pre-season friendly against Notts County back in July and has been slowly working his way back to fitness in recent weeks since the plaster came off.
This afternoon’s fixture, originally schedules for this Wednesday, was brought forward to this afternoon because of Vale’s involvement in the Staffs Senior Cup.
Vale make the trip to take on Midland League outfit Brocton tomorrow evening at their Silkmore Lane ground, kick off 7.30pm.
