Boyhood Owl Dodds Hoping To Cut Blades Down To Size

Port Vale forward Louis Dodds is hoping to send some of his close friends and family a text message or two after the Sheffield United game.

The 28-year-old grew up supporting the Blades’ cross-city rivals Sheffield Wednesday meaning this weekend’s clash takes on extra significance.

He scored a goal in the fixture during the 2013/14 season and wants to repeat that feat against Nigel Adkins’ side on Saturday.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD in the lead-up to the clash, Dodds said he hopes to be fit for the game and be on the winning side come 5pm.

“I’ve got cousins and uncles that are all Blades as well as the other half that are Owls,” he commented.

“I get texts all the time from them so I’m looking to send out a few texts of my own on Saturday.”
