Dodds Expecting An Organised Altrincham

Port Vale forward Louis Dodds says he is expecting a competitive game against an organised Altrincham side on Saturday.

The Valiants face the National League side after winning four and drawing one of their six pre-season games so far, with the only defeat coming against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.

Dodds believes that it will be a testing afternoon for the Valiants as they aim to bounce back from the 2-1 defeat against Bolton.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD before the encounter, the 28-year-old admitted that the team were expecting a tough test against a well organised Altrincham side, saying: "I think they will be organised.

“I don’t think there is too much difference between the Conference and League One really, I think it is probably players that make the difference so collectively I think they will be very organised, they will be fit and it will be a very good test for us.

“I think it will be good for us fitness wise to get ready for the Crewe game.”
