Port Vale’s Colin Daniel is eyeing a place in Rob Page’s forward line next term after bagging three goals in three games so far in pre-season.
The 27-year-old, who joined the club last summer from Mansfield Town, was often deployed on the left wing last season.
But Daniel has revealed that he has spoken to the manager about playing in a more central position as a striker in 2015/16.
He said to ValiantPlayerHD after the Kidsgrove Athletic friendly: “I’ve told the manager I would prefer to play up front this year.
“He has played me there and hopefully I’ve been rewarding him with goals, although it be against lesser sides but you still have to score the goals.”
